Back-to-school FAQs

When should I set up?

Ideally a week or two before classes start. That gives you time to connect your LMS, build a test template, and run a practice scan with the mobile app before you're in the middle of a real class.

Do I need admin involvement?

For Canvas Free for Teachers and Google Classroom, no — you can install the integration yourself. For institutional Canvas and Blackboard, your IT admin does a one-time tool registration. Forward them the setup guide; it takes about 15 minutes.

Can I import last year's tests?

You can reuse existing question papers — just have students answer on a PaperScorer bubble sheet alongside. No re-typing needed. Alternatively, build fresh templates and reuse them year to year.

What question types should I use?

Multiple choice covers 70-80% of most unit tests. PaperScorer also auto-grades true/false, yes/no, numeric response, matching, and ordering. For essays and short answer, you grade in a clean online interface after scanning.

What's the fastest way to learn it?

Create a free account, build a 5-question practice quiz, print one sheet, fill it out yourself, and scan with your phone. End-to-end in about 10 minutes. Once you've done that, you know the whole workflow.
